Cuttack: The Board of Secondary Education (BSE) has declared that the evaluation of recently-ended annual HSC examination will kick start from March 17.

The evaluation process will be conducted at 70 centres and 775 units across the state. Each unit will have a chief examiner, three deputy examiners and 15 assistant examiners.

The BSE, which aims to complete the evaluation process in 10 days, has initiated many steps to reduce errors.

“Strict instructions have been issued to avoid errors and improper marking. The teachers have been directed to report at the evaluation centre at 9:30 am,” said BSE president Dakhya Prasad Nanda.

“For the first time BSE has asked the examiners to switch off their mobile phones before entering matriculation examination evaluation centres in order to avoid errors during examining the answer sheets,” Nanda added.

Nearly six lakh students have appeared for the High School Certificate examination this year.
