Bhubaneswar: In a tragic incident, a man allegedly hanged himself after killing his wife last night in Raighara area of Nabarangpur district, police sources said on Sunday.
 
Kautuka Harijan, a resident of Mundabedhi village, beaten his wife Tarabai to death with an iron cooking blow pipe and committed suicide by hanging himself with a lungi thereafter, said Tapan Narayan Rath, IIC of Raighara police station.
 
Sources said Kautuka had been beating his wife regularly suspecting that his wife was having an extramarital affair.
 
After preliminary investigation the bodies were sent for the post mortem. The police have registered two cases and started investigation, sources added.
