Cuttack: The court of Sub Divisional Judicial Magistrate (SDJM) here on Saturday sent Bhola Bhagat, a close associate and business partner of the Dhalasamant brothers, to Choudwar Circle Jail after the commissionerate police made no move to take him on a fresh remand.

Talking to media persons here, Cuttack DCP Sanjeev Arora said the police has already collected vital information from Bhola during two phases of remand.

“Police has started investigation as per the information provided by Bhola,” he added.

Though the DCP said Bhola has provided vital information on the murder of Baidhara Sahu, a local trader of Cuttack, he did not reveal the details to the media.

Meanwhile, the commissionerate police on Saturday seized three bank accounts of Pramod Patra alias Bhuan, one of the closest associates of the Dhalasamant brothers in the city.

Reports said the police seized Rs 46 lakh from three accounts of Bhuan from the Axis Bank's Badambadi branch.
