Keonjhar viral video: Case registered under POCSO Act against 4 accused

Keonjhar: Police have arrested four people for allegedly forcing a young couple to get intimate, recording the act and uploading the video on social media.

All the accused have been arrested under POCSO Act and IT Act while one of the accused is a juvenile. The victim is said to be a tribal girl while two of the accused belong to the same village.

"We had received information on the viral video doing rounds on social media for last 5 to 6 days. Following SP's direction, we had conducted an inquiry and subsequently arrested all the four accused," said Turumunga police station in-charge.

Anandpur police on July 25 had detained the four persons in connection with the case.

As per reports, the youths had spotted the couple in an intimate position and forced the duo to repeat the act. They had also recorded the act on their phones.

Inspector-in-charge of Anandpur police station Sudarshan Panda had earlier said that the accused were detained following reports in connection with the incident.
