Bhubaneswar: The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) mains conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) was held in 76 centres across nine cities in Odisha today.

Around 50,000 candidates from the State appeared for the entrance examination.

The first session of the exam started from 9:30 am and continued till 12 noon while the second session of the test was conducted from 2 pm to 4 pm.

As per the instructions of the Orissa High Court, the examination and admission process will be concluded by August 6, said Odisha JEE chairman Tushar Nath.

The entrance was having negative marking system. The test was conducted in two sessions. In the first session, exams for BE and BTech was conducted while examination for Architecture and Planning was scheduled for the second session.
