Bhubaneswar: State`s IT Minister Ramesh Majhi was among 1,71,118 students who passed the higher secondary examinations, results of which were announced on Monday by the Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE), Orissa.

Majhi, who had appeared for the Plus-2 Arts examination from a college in Nawarangpur district, passed in the first division securing 376 out of 600 marks.

"I am happy for the success amid hectic schedules," he said, adding he was yet to take any call about whether to continue studies.

Majhi, who is in his 30s, had earlier in 1995 flunked in the Plus-2 science examination from the BJB College here.

After a long 19 years, he again wrote the papers on becoming a minister.

68.32 per cent students passed in the science stream, while 73.48 per cent passed in the Plus-2 arts followed by 68.66 in commerce subjects.
