Bhubaneswar: State continued to reel under gruelling heat with the heatwave claimed one more death on Sunday and the toll reaching 20. Unofficial figures of the toll however claim  to be 79.

Local meteorological department said, temperature in seven places of the state crossed 45 degree Celsius on Saturday. According to weather experts, the heatwave is likely to continue in central regions of the state in the next 24 hours due to high humidity in these aeras compared to the coastal parts.

The experts also predict that sqalls accompanied with wind speed of 60-70km/hr are likely to occur in one or two places of the state.
