Five Maoists killed in an encounter in Jajpur

(image) Bhubaneswar: Five Naxals were killed in an encounter between the Maoists and the security forces at Tungeisuni under Tamka police limits in Jajpur.

According to reports, in the exchange of fire between the SOG jawans and ultras five Maoists were killed, which includes four women. The security forces also seized 12 guns and huge quantity of arms and ammunitions from the spot.

On December 29, a woman Maoist was killed in an encounter during a combing operation in Talapara forest in Telkoi area in Keonjhar.
