Elderly couple found dead in Mayurbhanj

Mayurbhanj: An elderly couple was found dead inside their house at Deunchapara village under Baisinga police limits of Mayurbhanj district.The deceased have been identified as Sania Murmu and his wife Sumi Murmu.It is suspected that the couple ended their lives by consuming poison.

"Apart from the house, they owned a small piece of agricultural land in the village. However they had no children. Of late the duo was under constant depression," a local said.

The bodies have been recovered by the police and sent for autopsy. "We are investigating all angles. Details will be revealed once the post-mortem reports are out," said a Police official.
