Couple killed in road accident, 5 injured

(image) Balasore: A couple from West Bengal were killed and five injured today when the bus in which they were traveling overturned on NH-60 in Balasore district.

According to police, a tourist bus carrying about 50 passengers from West Midnapore district of West Bengal was on its way to Puri in Orissa when the mishap occurred near Nalabahar.

Preliminary reports suggested that the bus driver apparently lost control over the vehicle due to dense fog and poor visibility in the wee hours leading to the accident.

The deceased have been identified as Sudarsan Dey (58) and his wife Gayatri Dey (50), police said adding that the injured were being treated in a hospital at Basta.
