Bhadrak: Passengers of Bhadrak-Berhampur DMU train had a tough time for several hours as district Congress activists resorted to a rail roko at Bhadrak station demanding toilet facilities in the train.

The Congress members alleged that despite repeated requests, the railway authorities continue to turn a blind eye to the legitimate demands of passengers.

"The rail roko will be intensified in the coming days if the railway does not fulfill our demand", an activist said.

On the other hand, passengers raised concerns over the undeclared rail roko leading to inconvenience. "They (Congress activists) staged an agitation for a noble cause. But it could have been done after a formal announcement," a passenger said.

However, the strike was withdrawn after railway officials provided the facility in the first three bogies and assured to provide toilets in other compartments by the end of April.
