Bhubaneswar: In a high-level meeting at the secretariat here, chief minister Naveen patnaik reviewed the preparations of various infrastructural projects, mainly the railways and public works ahead of Nabakalebar, which will be held in June this year.

During yesterday’s meeting, it came up that the double-lining of Delanga-Sakhigopal railway track has been completed whereas the same for the Sakhigopal-Puri railway track will be completed by May.

Similarly, the slab cast work to construct a railway overbridge near Malatipatapur station has begun. The construction work will end by April.

On its part, the railways aims at completing the rest-shade for the travellers in the district by June while it is eyeing to compete the construction of two additional platforms at Puri station by the end of this month.

The proposed new bus stand will be constructed at Malatipatapur by May to provide better communication facility to the travellers during the grand festival.

Meanwhile, the Public Works department has completed the construction of 12 roads while work for the remaining nine road projects yet to be done.

The chief secretary, Public Works secretary and top railway officials were present among others during the meeting.
