Bhubaneswar: In a bid to create awareness among the mass about the importance and worth of vintage bikes the ‘Orissa Yazdi Vintage Biker Club’, a city-based biker club on Sunday organized vintage bikes’ rally near the exhibition ground in the city.

“Jawa is an age old bike and we are trying to preserve these bikes. My message to everyone is “Old is Gold” and preserving these bikes is an art,” said Shaan, member of ‘Orissa Yazdi Vintage Biker Club’.

The biker club, whose members include mainly the youth, aims at restoring the worth of these long lost friends of our early days. The rally aims at creating interests among the mass about the priceless value of these age old two wheelers.

“I bought my bike in 1981 and I have spent both my good and bad times with my bike by my side,” said Bhabani Shankar Mishra, member of the biker club.

Around 15 bikes participated in this rally that kicked off at exhibition ground and moved through out the city. The bikes that took part in the rally mainly included the bikes of Jawa and Yazdi Companies.

However, not just a rally the members of the club are also planning to organize a charity work.
