Chitgate: CB sleuths nab Vista director

Bhubaneswar: Three days after arresting the chairman-cum-managing director (CMD) of Vista Management Services Ltd, the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of Crime Branch today nabbed the director of the chit fund company Bijay Swain from here for duping gullible investors.

According to sources, four teams of the State probe agency conducted raids at different places in the city and Bolangir today. The sleuths laid their hands on three vehicles and a Hyva truck during the raid at Swain’s residence in Jaripatana area here, the sources added.

Company’s CMD Dev Kumar Panda was arrested from Bhubaneswar railway station last Sunday while he was waiting to board a Vishakhapatnam-bound train and seized his passport and visa. An air ticket and some American and Singaporean currencies were also found in his possession. The Crime Branch took Panda on three days’ remand on Tuesday.
