Bhubaneswar/ New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Tuesday announced the Class X results. The overall pass percentage is 86.7%. Girls have performed better than boys with 88.67 pass percentage while the pass percentage for boys is 85.32 per cent.

89.27 per cent students in Bhubaneswar region comprising Odisha, West Bengal and Chhattisgarh cleared the examination.91.36 per cent girls and 87.77 per cent boys passed the exams.

A student of JNV Dhanpur, Soumyadeep Pradhan from Odisha ranked third in the country in differently abled category by scoring 484 out of 500 marks.

Prakhar Mittal from Gurugram, Rimzhim Agrawal from Bijnor, Nandni Garg from Shamli & Sreelakshmi G from Cochin, all scored 499 marks out of 500 to top CBSE Class 10th Examination, official sources said.

Union HRD Minister Prakash Javadekar congratulated the students and said, " Congratulations to those who've succeeded. 10th CBSE board exam was conducted after 10 years. This's basically preparation for 12th board. Those students who've got compartment should prepare again & I'm sure they'll do well."

27476 students have scored equal to or more than 95% marks while 131493 students have scored equal to or more than 90% marks. The top three regions are Thiruvananthapuram with 99.60 pass percentage, Chennai with 97.37 pass percentage, and Ajmer with 91.86 pass percentage.

Pass percentage for Delhi region was lower than national at 78.62.

A total of 131,493 students crossed the 90 per cent mark, while 27,476 scored more than 95 per cent out of more than 16 lakh who appeared for the exam this year.

Students from 17,567 schools from across the country and abroad had taken exams at 4,460 centres.

Students can check their result on the official websites of the board: www.cbseresults.nic.in, www.cbse.nic.in and www.results.nic.in after the result is released.

2) Click on the link for result 2018

3) Key in the details as required on the login page that opens

5) Result will be displayed on the screen

6) Download the result and take a print out of the same
