Bhubaneswar: The Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of State Crime Branch (CB) here today took Deb Kumar Panda, chief managing director of Vista Management Services Ltd, on three-day remand.

Panda was arrested yesterday by the CB for allegedly duping investors to the tune of Rs 50 crore.
Official said, he had established a chit fund company in 2008-09 under the name of ‘Vista’, and floated various schemes promising high returns on deposited amount.

Meanwhile, leader of Opposition Narasingha Mishra said some political leaders of ruling BJD from Kalahandi and Bolangir districts are involved in this company.

Senior BJP leader Pratap Sarangi also demanded a strong action against the culprits.

However, BJD Rajya Sabha MP from Bolangir Anang Uday Singhdeo, said, “We welcome all type of investigations to unravel the truth and punishment to those who are actually behind the money laundering.”
