Boy dies in tractor accident in Malkangiri district

Raju Gaina, a class VII student of MV-10 village under Malkangiri police limits was returning from school on Saturday by bicycle along with his two sisters when the mishap occurred.

Raju was immediately taken to the Malkaingiri hospital but doctor declared him brought dead, while his sisters escaped with minor injuries.

The helper of the tractor, who was driving the vehicle in absence of the driver fled the site after the accident.

As the news spread, angry villagers set ablaze the tractor, they said.
