Kendrapara: After news about the affected geo-tube project at Pentha village aired on Odisha’s premier news channel OTV, the district administration has resumed the repair work of the project.
According to sources, the district administration has started the repair work of the affected parts of the geo-tube sea wall project which is meant to provide security to sea-side villages of the district.
A team of Water Resources department, which visited the spot to review the situation there, said after the repair work, a stone embankment will be constructed in front of the geo-tube sea wall.
Notably from 2012, the project is in progress to provide safety to 54 sea-side villages of Rajkanika block. However, the project is yet to be completed.
