“I am fortunate enough to taste the delicious prasad of Lord Krishna. The day symbolises the unconditional love and affection of mother Yosada towards her son Krishna. I am very glad to be a part of this ceremony”, said Kadambini, a devotee.
The day is observed as a sacred day to offer palatable prasad to Lord Krishna. On this day, Maa Yasoda offered various types of palatable foods to her son Krishna. “To commemorate the day, we prepared a huge number of delicacies this year with the help of devotees,” said Subal Chanran Dash, the seer (mahant) of the mutt.
The dishes comprised the traditional cuisine of Odisha and those of some other states as well,” the seer said.
