OTV editor Radhamadhav Mishra receives Odisha Journalism Award 2018 in Delhi
Bhubaneswar/New Delhi: Odisha Journalism Awards 2018 were presented on Sunday at New Delhi’s Constitution Club. During the ceremony, seven senior and noted journalists working in Odisha and one young journalist were awarded by Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
The awardees included Resident editor of the Telegraph (Odisha) Prakash Patra, OTV news editor Radhamadhav Mishra, Prameya’s editor Gopal Krushna Mahapatra, Nirbhaya’s editor Nabin Das, editor of Pourusha, Asit Mohanty, Samanya Kathan’s editor Devendra Prusty, Indian Press Council member Chayakant Nayak and The Times of India representative Deepak Das.
Pradhan graced the occasion as the chief guest of the event organised by Pallibani Mission.
Apart from Pradhan, the ceremony was also attended by Prasar Bharati CEO Shashi Shekhar and other senior journalists along with some non-resident Odias.
On the occasion, an exclusive edition of Pallibani was published.
Speaking to OTV, Pallibani Mission chairman Ramchandra Nath said they will try their best to maintain a certain standard of this awards ceremony every year.
“We will continue this awards ceremony every year and try to maintain a certain standard so that one day this will be considered an important award for Odia journalists just like the Sahitya Academy award is for litterateurs,” said Nath.
