Oldest female tiger at Nandankanan dies
Bhubaneswar: Sushama, the oldest female tiger at Nandankanan Zoological Park here, died on Sunday morning due to old age-related ailments.
According to Nandankanan officials, Sushama, born of Debashish and Yamuna on December 29, 1995, was undergoing treatment since last three years.
She breathed her last at 8.20 am today, sources in Nandankanan said.
After Sushama’s death, there are now 21 tigers left in Nandankanan – 15 normal colour tigers (NCT) and six white tigers.
