Odia girl Sukanya finds place in Indian squad for ODI series against WI


Bhubaneswar: Odia girl Sukanya Parida has been selected for the Indian women’s cricket team which was announced by BCCI on Saturday for the upcoming home series against West Indies.

Sukanya is a resident of Naamouza village of Kendrapara district and is currently playing for West Bengal.

The 23-year-old all rounder was also in the squad of India Red team which won Challenger Trophy.

India squad for WI ODIs: Mithali Raj (capt), Harmanpreet Kaur, Smriti Mandhana, Thirush Kamini, Mona Meshram, Veda Krishnamurthy, Devika Vaidya, Sushma Verma (wk), Jhulan Goswami, Shikha Pandey, Sukanya Parida, Poonam Yadav, Ekta Bisht, Rajeshwari Gayakwad, Deepti Sharma.
