Jitendra Mishra’s co-produced film ‘Buried Seeds’ in 74th Venice Film Festival


Film producer and promoter Jitendra Mishra from Odisha is thrilled with his co-produced film “Buried Seeds” on the life journey of Celebrity Chef Vikas Khanna selected for the prestigious 74th Venice Film Festival this year.

The film directed by Russian film maker Andrei Severny had a special screening in Venice-Days, at Giornate degli Autori on September 6. The chef himself showcased 70 dishes from India to celebrate 70 years of the country’s Independence. The first look of the film was released earlier during Cannes Film Festival this year.

Master Chef Judge Vikas Khanna is an award-winning Michelin starred Indian chef and cookbook writer based in New York City. He has been named as the Sexiest Men Alive and “The Hottest Chef of America”.

“Buried Seeds” is the inspiring story of struggle, passion, will power, failure and rise shown through Vikas Khanna’s eyes.

Odisha born Jitendra Mishra is one of the few Indian film producers and promoters involved in production, distribution and promotion at international level. Known for path breaking films like I am Kalam, Desires of the Heart, Gattu & Kajarya, Mishra has also designed and currently serving as the festival director of the unique film festival SIFFCY for Smile Foundation.
