Cold wave sets in Odisha again
Bhubaneswar: After a week of fluctuating weather conditions, cold wave set in Odisha today with a sharp fall in tempeature in most parts of the state.
While temperature came to below 10 degree Celsius in five places, 12 other places recorded below 15 degrees.
As per a release by the local Met office here this evening, Sundargarh recorded the lowest temperature at 7.5 degree Celsius followed by Angul (7.6), Phulbani (8), Daringbadi (8.5) and Sambalpur (9.5).
Besides, temperature remained within 15 degree Celsius in Balasore (13.4), Chandbali (14.6), Cuttack, (14.5), Baripada (12.6), Jharsuguda (10.6), Keonjhar (10.6), Hirakud (10), Talcher (11.8), Bolangir (10.8), Koraput (12), Titlagarh (12) and Sonepur (12.4).
The Met office has predicted that the cold wave would prevail in the state till next week up to January 12 as there would be no change in the weather conditions.
