Bhubaneswar: Panic gripped passengers after two unclaimed boxes triggered bomb scare on Bhubaneswar-Mumbai Konark Express near Madhira station in Khammam district of Telangana today. However, the South Central Railways confirmed later that the boxes contained paint materials.
Earlier, the two suspected objects were detected inside S-11 coach by Railway Protection Force (RPF) officials between Warangal and Khammam railway stations.
According to reports, the Konark Express had left Bhubaneswar railway station at around 3 pm yesterday.
Sources said, the train was detained at Madhira station and the two suspected objects were removed. A team of bomb squad had carried out an intensive operation to detect presence of any explosives in it.
