BJP condemns BJD attack on its workers
Bhubaneswar: Coming down heavily on the attack on BJP activists showing black flags at Food Supply minister Sanjay Dasburma and Housing and Urban Development minister Pushpendra Singhdeo at Manamunda in Boudh district yesterday, members of the saffron party staged protests, road blockades in many parts of the state on Friday.
Hundreds of BJP activists staged a protest at Master Canteen square here protesting the attack on party workers. The agitating workers of the party burnt the effigies of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and minister Sanjay Dasburma. Besides, they also blocked the roads there burning tyres.
In Paradip, the youth wing of the saffron party staged a demonstration at Paradip Police Station square demanding the resignation and arrest of minister Sanjay Dasburma. Besides, they also shouted anti-government slogans condemning the attack.
In Bhawanipatna, the youth wing of the party condemned the attack and took out a rally criticising the high handedness of the Naveen Patnaik government. The striking members also burnt the effigies of the chief minister and Das Burma. They threatened that they will not allow any ministers to enter Kalahandi.
