BJD meet on strategy for upcoming 2019 elections
Bhubaneswar: BJD Supremo and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Monday met senior party leaders and district observers to discuss poll strategy for the upcoming 2019 general elections.
Senior leaders of the party including Debi Prasad Mishra, Bikram Arukha, Debashish Samantaray, Sashi Bhusan Behera and observers of party’s 31 organisational districts were present in the meeting to discuss the agenda for the upcoming polls.
Kamakhyanagar MLA and minister Prafulla Mallick along with Sanjay Das Burma were absent at the meeting.
Sources said discussions on the use of social media digital platforms like WhatsApp for campaigning and promotion of party in the 2019 general elections were held during the meeting.
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik said the meeting was a routine affair.
