Meanwhile, after successfully busting the crime syndicate of the Dhalasamant brothers and their illegal Balighat business, the commissionerate police has begun investigation into the properties of the criminal siblings.
Sources said the police has collected documents of the house and office of the Dhalasamant brothers from the office of the Cuttack Development Authority (CDA) and of the vehicles owned by the two brothers from the Regional Transport Office (RTO).
Dipti Ranjan Patra, Regional Transport Officer, Cuttack, informed that five luxurious vehicles are owned by the Dhalasamant brothers: two Mercedes Benz cars bearing registration number OD-05-L-3303 and OD-05-F-3303, an Audi Q car (OD-05-AN-1444), a Honda City car (OD-05-R-9909) and a Mahindra SUV (OD-05-7455).

On the basis of the documents of these vehicles, police has begun a probe to find out whether the Dhalasamant brothers have purchased these vehicles or they have got them from other sources.
Police is also in search of the vehicle which was used in the murder of Om and Dipu, the two close associates of Dhalasamant brothers.
Apart from this, police has begun investigation into a plot owned by the Dhalasamant brothers in the CDA area. The plot (B/1444 in Sector-6) is in the name of Saroj Dhalasamant, father of Susant and Sushil, on which a luxurious building has come up.
Besides, the Dhalasamant brothers are running the office of their company in two other plots (D-1036 in Sector -6 and 2/B/108 in Sector-9) on rent.
Investigation is on to find out how the Dhalasamant brothers managed to get the plot in their name from the CDA. However, the CDA officials were not available for comment on the matter.
