Bhubaneswar: In a bid to make the students taking up technical education more industry ready the All Indian Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has decided to give its diploma engineering syllabus a complete face over. AICTE chairman informed of the initiative at a special workshop held here on Saturday.
While addressing at the workshop Sahasrabudhe also raised the exam reform issue and assured that AICTE is all set to introduce it for transparency in the system. Apart from it, the polytechnics would be given autonomy to better its functionality.
“If the polytechnics would be made autonomous then they would have the freedom of forming their own syllabuses designed by chosen experts. That would be beneficial for students, “ said the AICTE chairman.
Sahasrabudhe also informed that, the exam and answer paper checking would be made a completely online procedure reducing chance of error and bringing in transparency.
