BJP legislators decide to forego sitting fees

Bargarh: BJP legislators of Odisha have decided not to receive sitting fees for the recently concluded winter session of State Assembly, announced KV Sighdeo, president of the party’s state unit on Sunday.

In a meeting of the party workers here, Singhdeo said, “BJP MLAs took a decision to forego the sitting fees as the House did not transact any business during the Winter session.”

Further, he added the Speaker of Odisha Assembly will be informed about the decision in an application with signatures of the party’s MLAs.
