New Delhi: Odisha Chief Minister and BJD chief Naveen Patnaik met the party MPs in Parliament premises and discussed several issues of the state that can be raised in the Upper and Lower Houses.

Sources said Patnaik suggested the Parliament members to raise major issues like development of railway network in the state, coal block allocation, development of national highways and improvement in communication in Maoist-affected areas of the state.

Speaking to media after the meeting, Patnaik said, “We discussed about the requirements of the party MPs and issues pertaining to the state.”

Speculations over new political equations became intense when Patnaik went to the Central Hall of Parliament and shook hand with JD-U leader Sharad Yadav.
