Bhubaneswar: The UPA government at the Centre has been neglecting the state constantly while the state unit of the Congress is shedding crocodile`s tears keeping its eye on the ensuing panchayt polls, said chief minister and BJD supremo here on the 14th foundation day of the party.

Addressing large number of party workers at the party headquarter here, Naveen said that the voters however would give the befitting reply to the Congress in the panchayat polls. He highlighted several achievements of the BJD government and the ruling party.

Rajya Sabha member and senior BJD leader Pyari Mohan Mohapatra in his address held the Congress party responsible for the multi-crore mining irregularities. Pyari said that the BJD government instead was taking several measures to stop illegal activities in the mining sector. He claimed that because of its achievements in all the sectors the BJD would sweep the panchayat polls.

The meeting was attended by Bhubaneswar Lok Sabha member Prasanna Kumar Patsani and several ministers of the Naveen cabinet and BJD MLAs.
