Cuttack: Come October and the historic Barabati stadium will be all abuzz with activities. The hustle and bustle will be back on the grounds and the stands as the stadium will host an international event on 5th of that month in form of a Twenty-20 cricket match between India and South Africa.

Confirming the news, the Odisha Cricket Association (OCA) said that the stadium, with a bench strength of 44,430 visitors, will be the venue for the second match of the three T20 matches India will play against the Proteas.

The South African cricket team, currently in Bangladesh, will tour India from September to December to play three T20 Internationals, five One-Day Internationals (ODIs) and four Test matches.

The 70-day tour will commence with a T20 practice match in New Delhi on September 29 followed by three T20s on October 2, 5 and 8 at Dharamsala in Himachal Pradesh, Cuttack and Kolkata respectively, announced the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) today.
