Berhampur: Putting the alleged baby swapping case at MKCG Medical College and Hospital to an end, the DNA report, which arrived today, confirmed that the baby girl is the daughter of Anil and Priyadarsini Biswasraya of Hinjilicut of Ganjam district.

On the other hand, the dead baby boy was proved as the son of Sibaram Basantia and Sunita Basantia of Purusottampur block.

Basantia couple had lodged a police complaint alleging that they had been handed over a girl child while hospital record says that they gave birth to a boy.

Later, the Biswasraya couple filed an FIR at B.N Pur Poilce Station that their baby girl had been replaced with another baby who died due to premature delivery.

However, after the DNA report, the baby was handed over to her parents Biswwswray couple.

Meanwhile, MKCG Superintendent Ashok Behera, said, “ It was a human error. Departmental action will be taken. Show cause notice will be issued to the three doctors and one staff nurse who were on duty on the particular day".
