Bhubaneswar: Even as flood-ravaged people are yet to recover from the disaster, another low pressure has been formed with warning of heavy rains in some places in coastal region of the state.

Latest satellite imagery and surface observation indicates that a low pressure area has formed over North Bay of Bengal and adjoining areas, meteorological department said here on Tuesday.

Under its impact, heavy rain might occur at one or two places over the districts of coastal Odisha during the next two days, it said.

Rain and thundershower was likely to take place in many areas in the coastal region and at a few places in interior Odisha.

The met office advised fishermen to be cautious while venturing into the sea.

The state is already under the grip of a devastating flood following heavy rainfall triggered by a low pressure recently.
