(image) Bhubaneswar:  The All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE) conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) was rescheduled on Sunday due to alleged paper leak.

The exams which were to commence at 9:30 am today has been delayed. The first sitting of the exam is now expected to begin at 12:00 noon. While the second paper, which was scheduled for the noon session from 2.00 pm to 5.00 pm, will now be held from 4.00 pm to 7.00 pm.

The exam was delayed after a leaked question paper was recovered by the Uttar Pradesh STF from Kanpur.

About 12 lakh students across the country will be writing the prestigious exam at over 1,600 centres in more than 80 cities today.

It is for the first time that the AIEEE is also being held in the online mode. About one lakh candidates from 20 cities in India will take the examination online.
