Angul: A woman and her three children sustained critical injuries after the wall of their house collapsed on them following heavy rain at Banjamunda under Munduribeda pachayat in Pallahara block of Angul district late on Saturday night.

The injured identified as Sukumari Pingua and her three sons Aadesh (7), Krishna (3) and Manoj (18 months). All of them were rushed to Khamar hospital following the incident.

Sakumari's husband Anukul Pingua had a narrow escaped in the mishap.

According to sources, the incident took place when the five members of the family were fast asleep inside their house last night.

Earlier in the day on Saturday, a couple died after a wall collapsed on them following incessant rain at Sulipadar village in Karpa panchayat under Kalyansinghpur block of Rayagada district.
