Bhubaneswar: The state government has set a target to provide employment to 10 lakh registered educated unemployed in next five years, informed Employment & Technical Education and Training minister Pratap Keshari Deb today.

During question hour, the minister told House that under National Skill Development Target while one lakh would be employed in various state government organizations through Employment Mission annually, the remainder would be placed in private firms. 

In a reply to Kantabanjhi MLA Santosh Singh Saluja, Deb said that the government in coming days would identify the under matric and inter students through employment drives in 314 blocks of the state and create employment opportunities for those after facilitating them with technical training.

According to the minister there are 10.55 lakh registered educated unemployed in the state.
