Bhubaneswar: The main branch of State Bank of India (SBI) has been sealed for four-day starting today after detection of more number of Covid-19 positive cases.

“To contain the further spread of virus, State Bank of India, Main Branch, Situated at Unit 1 (Ground Floor & First Floor), Bhubaneswar is sealed for a period of 96 hrs from 08.04.2021 to 11.04.2021,” an order issued by the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) stated.

The Civic body has also set some condition while sealing the bank. It restricted the entry and exit of people including staff and customers into or from outside the premises of the branch, except authorized personnel of the BMC.

The staff who have tested positive have been directed to remain in isolation at their residence.
The bank authorities have been asked to intimate the BMC if any of the infected staff needs medical attention and symptoms observed in other staff.

In case of any emergency, the Bank Authorities can contact BMC Control Room (Mob:7847873040) or 1929 for immediate assistance, the order read.

The same branch had earlier been sealed from Sunday to Tuesday after a number of staff tested positive.

The civic body authorities had directed the bank to sanitize the ground and first floor.

The city on Wednesday reported 103 new cases out of which 79 were local contacts. Similarly, 47 patients had recovered from the disease yesterday.
