Dehradun: A tiger was on Tuesday found dead at Sarpduli range of Corbett Tiger Reserve (CTR) at Ramnagar area of Nainital district, an official said.

The carcass of the tiger was noticed by the forest guards during patrolling this morning, Deputy Director of CTR C K Kavidayal said.

A preliminary report suggests that the animal might have been killed during a fight with another wildcat, he said.

However, senior officials of CTR have rushed to the spot to investigate about the death of the tiger.
