Tea garden manager shot at in Assam

Tinsukia: A tea garden manager was shot at and injured by two unidentified gunmen in upper Assam's Tinsukia district today.

The two assailants came on a motor-cycle and shot at the manager of Saraswati Tea Estate as he was going to the garden at Talap, official sources said.

The manager, identified as Chabi Das Gupta, was injured in the left hand and was admitted to the Doomdooma Civil Hospital, the sources said.
