Odisha youth shot dead in Surat

The incident took place when an unidentified man shot one Sunil in the chest from close range while he was on his way to work, they said.

According to police, Sunil was rushed to the civil hospital here where he succumbed to his injuries during treatment. Police said that the killer has not been identified yet nor the motive known. They further said that they have recovered a country made pistol and an empty cartridge from the crime scene. A case of murder has been registered against an unknown person and further investigation in the matter was on, police said.

Though, details about the deceased could not be ascertained, the credit card information reveals that he was a resident of Odisha.
