Bhubaneswar: Armed miscreants looted Rs eight lakh from the employees of a petrol filling outlet at gun point near here on Monday when they were on way to deposit the cash in a bank, police said.
The manager and another employee of the petrol pump were proceeding from Balianta to deposit the cash in a bank at nearby Phulnakhara area on a motor-cycle when they were stopped by two persons, they said.
The armed persons, also on a bike, threatened the petrol outlet employees with a gun and snatched away the bag containing the cash amounting to Rs eight lakh before fleeing from the site, police said.
A hunt has been launched to nab the duo and police of all nearby areas were alerted.
