Rourkela: A senior official of Mahandadi Coalfields (MCL) was arrested by CBI while allegedly taking a bribe of Rs 5,000 from a contractor here on Monday.

 

J K Goel, General Manager in electrical and mechanical wing of MCL`s Bansadhara mines, had allegedly demanded the amount from a contractor for passing his outstanding bill of Rs.2.36 lakh.
 
The CBI sleuths laid a trap and arrested Goel while he was accepting the money, the sources added.
