Araria: Customs sleuths have seized heroin worth Rs six crore from a train at Jogbani railway station in Bihar's Araria district, an official said today.

Acting on a tip off, the customs sleuths with the assistance of the SSB, RPF and local police carried out search in Anand Vihar-Jogbani Seemanchal Express last night and recovered 970 gram contraband substance, Customs' Assistant Commissioner Jyotiradiya said.

The heroin, packaged in tiger brand, was manufactured in Thailand, he said, adding no arrest has been made in this connection as there was no no claimant of the contraband haul.

An investigation was going on in the matter, the Customs official said.
