New Delhi: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa today parried questions on whether the AIADMK would support Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee for Presidency, saying the party has not yet been approached by anybody in this regard. She said no "concrete proposal" has been put forward by anybody to her party on the candidate for Presidential Polls scheduled to be held in July.

"The AIADMK has not yet finalised its stand or strategy with regard to Presidential elections. And no concrete proposal has been brought to us so far by anybody," she told reporters at the Tamil Nadu House here. She was asked about her opinion on Pranab Mukherjee being the Presidential candidate.

Jayalalithaa, who was here to attend the Chief Ministers` Conference on NCTC, said no decision has been taken yet on her proposal to set up a Sub-Committee of Chief Ministers to go into the proposed anti-terror body. "That is the suggestion I have made. The deliberations will go on till evening. It remains to be seen as to what decisions will be taken," she said.

Jayalalithaa said the state Chief Secretary, Home Secretary and DGP would be present at the meeting till the end. On the Kudankulam Power Project, she said it would go critical in the next 10 days and power generation would begin then.
