Woman gangraped in UP

Muzaffarnagar: A 27-year-old married woman was allegedly gangraped by two persons who also filmed the act in Shamli district, police said today.

The victim's husband lodged a complaint and alleged that his wife, who worked as a labourer, yesterday was brought to a room in the under-construction building in which she was working and gangraped. They also threatened her with dire consequences if she told anyone about the incident, Circle Officer Nishank Sharma said.

Based on the complaint, a case was registered against the two accused, identified as Kunwerpal and Pokher, the officer said.

The victim has been sent for medical examination, he said adding efforts were on to nab the accused who are still at large.
