New Delhi: As the numbers clearly favoured him in the Presidential race, a beaming UPA nominee Pranab Mukherjee today said he was hopeful of getting many more votes in this election. "Earlier I used to get two votes --- one was my vote and another my wife`s vote. But here I hope to get many more votes," Mukherjee chuckled as the voting for Presidential election was concluded.

UPA managers have expressed confidence that Mukherjee`s victory margin will be much more than anticipated and hoped that he will get surplus votes. In an interesting incident, BJP MLA from Gujarat Kanubhai Valabhai Kalsaria voted in favour of Mukherjee. A senior Congress leader felt that surplus votes can be expected for Mukherjee even from the North East from where the Opposition nominee P A Sangma hails.
