New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Portugal and The Netherlands on his way to and from the US trip on June 26 when he will meet President Donald Trump.

Modi will be in Lisbon on June 24 when he will hold talks with Indian-origin Prime Minister Antonio Costa, who was in India last year for the Pravasi Bharti day in Bengaluru, External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Gopal Baglay, told the weekly media briefing here.

After talks with Trump in Washington on June 26, Modi will visit The Netherlands on June 27. There he will meet the Dutch King and the prime minister and hold talks, Baglay said.

Asked about any event being planned with the Indian community in Washington, he said it was being explored but nothing has been finalised.
