New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi today reached out to his Nepalese counterpart Sushil Koirala in the wake of another major earthquake in the Himalayan nation and assured all necessary help.

"PM Sushil Koirala and I had a telephonic conversation. We reviewed the situation arising due to yesterday's tremors," Modi tweeted.

"I assured PM Koirala of all possible co-operation from our side in the wake of the earthquake," he added.

According to the Nepalese home ministry's National Emergency Operation Centre, Tuesday's quake measuring 7.3 on the Richter scale has claimed 65 lives and has left about 1,926 people injured.
